ABOUT
ABOUT ME

All I wanted to do when I was young was write. I sat at the kitchen table, asking my mom for spelling help as I crafted my  story books. I'm still at it, except I've moved on to the nonfiction world of magazines and newspapers. I'm a generalist
with a particular interest in stories about the environment, justice, and art crime.

WHAT I'VE DONE

I'm an associate editor at the Denver Business Journal, where I edit news stories, manage social media and cover education and the disability community. Before that, I pitched, wrote, and edited stories for  5280, Denver's city magazine, broke news at the Des Moines Register. I ask too many questions and I love to be part of a team. Check out my portfolio below for a sampling of my work.

WHAT I DO

I chase down sources. I ask questions, even the tough ones. I find inspiration everywhere. I edit, micro and macro. I listen, research, and transcribe. I write front of book articles, podcast scripts, personal essays, and news clips. I put together a mean service package. I drink copious amounts of coffee. Most of all, I discover and tell stories.
